Ñora has been catering weddings throughout the San Francisco Bay Area since 2012. Our founders are the chefs behind La Marcha Tapas Bar in Berkeley, a restaurant recognized by the MICHELIN Guide. Some couples come to us because they love paella. Others are looking for something more memorable than traditional wedding catering. Most end up choosing us for both the food and the amount of support our team provides along the way.
We can keep things simple with live paella and tapas, or help manage the entire food and beverage side of the celebration with staffing, bartending, rentals, setup, service and cleanup. We work closely with couples, wedding planners, coordinators and venues from the early planning stages through the end of the event.
For Allison’s 160-person wedding, the menu included three paellas, patatas bravas, goat cheese and caramelized onion stuffed piquillo peppers, wild mushroom croquetas, Brussels sprouts and a full sweet bar. Planning included a site visit and multiple menu revisions to bring the meal together.
“The food was a major hit and several of our guests said it was the best food they had at a wedding.”

There is something special about watching a huge paella come together in front of you. The fire, the pans, the aromas and the cooking become part of the celebration rather than something happening in a kitchen behind the scenes.
We are especially good at building the cooking into the flow of a wedding. At many events, our chefs begin preparing the paella during cocktail hour while guests enjoy passed tapas and drinks. By the time everyone is ready for dinner, the paella is finished and ready to serve.
It is also an incredibly flexible way to feed a wedding. We can prepare several different paellas for the same event, making it easy to accommodate vegetarian, vegan, seafood, meat and other dietary needs without making the meal feel fragmented.
Because we bring the cooking equipment with us, paella works beautifully at venues with limited kitchen facilities, outdoor spaces, wineries, private homes and other locations where a traditional catering kitchen may not be available. When live cooking isn’t practical, our team can also discuss using your venue’s kitchen or bringing the food prepared.
Dinner can be served buffet-style, family-style or plated depending on the wedding.
“So many of our friends and family told us that this was the best wedding food they had ever had.”

A great wedding caterer should make planning easier, not give you another vendor to manage.
Our team works through the details with you from start to finish. We review rental orders, help determine staffing, work through beverage quantities and bar needs, coordinate service timing and make sure the pieces required for dinner actually make sense together.
If you are working with a wedding planner or coordinator, we work directly with them. If you are planning more of the wedding yourself, we can help identify things you may not have considered and make recommendations based on hundreds of events we have worked over the years.
We also work regularly with local venues and event professionals throughout the Bay Area and can recommend vendors for rentals, flowers, décor and other parts of the celebration when helpful.
The goal is simple: when the wedding day arrives, the couple should not be worrying about whether there are enough wine glasses, when the paella needs to start cooking or who is clearing the tables.
“Delicious food, professional staffing, and responsive communication made our experience with Nora Spanish Catering flawless.”

Our wedding packages are customizable. Some couples want paella to be the centerpiece of a relaxed outdoor reception. Others build a full evening around a Spanish grazing table, passed tapas, cocktails, multiple paellas, family-style dishes, wine service and dessert.
Our grazing tables can be built by the foot or take over an entire table, creating a centerpiece for cocktail hour with artisanal Spanish cheeses, cured meats, olives, membrillo, conservas, breads and other small bites. A staffed jamón carving station can add another live element before dinner.
We can provide:
Whether you need us to handle dinner or help bring together the entire food and beverage experience, we can build the level of service around your venue, guest count and priorities.
“We hired Nora Spanish Cuisine to cater the welcome dinner for our wedding and got so many glowing reviews from our guests.”

Ñora is from the team behind La Marcha Tapas Bar in Berkeley, recognized by the MICHELIN Guide and certified by Restaurants from Spain. Our restaurant background shapes the way we approach weddings: food comes first, but hospitality, timing and execution matter just as much.
Couples can also arrange tastings with our team while planning their menu.
