Chefs Sergio Monleon and Emily Sarlatte

Chef Monleón and Chef Sarlatte met each other working at a restaurant in 2000. Both having lived in Spain, the two bonded over their admiration for it’s cuisine and culture. Sarlatte and Monleón knew they wanted to bring the Spanish dining experience to the Bay Area, and in 2012 they started selling Spanish food at local markets and festivals. Their enormous paella pans drew big crowds and quickly gained them a large following, which lead to the launch of Ñora Cocina Española, a full service catering company specializing in rustic weddings, private parties, and corporate functions.

Lisa assigns and oversees all functions related to catering. She is responsible for interacting with clients, coordinating event teams, and creating menus with the clients and chefs. Her attention to detail and passion for organizing events makes her extremely talented at putting together functions for clients. Having recently been married, she loves helping clients put together their dream wedding and makes sure no detail goes un looked.

The newest member to our team, Adrian, is in charge of client accounts and maintains contact leading up to events. She coordinates staffing, arranges client tastings, and ensures each team member is aware of their duties on the day of the event. Her extensive background in catering and service, combined with a bachelors degree in Hospitality Management makes her the perfect “party planner.” She gains an immense satisfaction from watching guests enjoy themselves at an event she helped organize.

Our team of culinary experts are professional and know the importance of perfection, both in the food and timing. Our paella chefs learn how to cook the dish directly from Chef Sarlatte & Chef Monleón. Not only are they taught the recipes, but also the importance of the tradition of paella. It is not a dish that anyone can make, and one must completely understand the science of why and how to perfectly cook the rice. Their commitment to the highest standard of quality has led Ñora to an amazing reputation on yelp and other review platforms.
